Student Information

A rolling admission system is utilized at STMC Training Institute so that students may enroll at any time for the following session. Applicants are interviewed by the Director of Education. The interview will include a background questionnaire, admissions application, and a placement test both oral and written for the English as a Second Language Program.
Assessment of the students' progress will be based on a variety of testing methods, which are suited to the subject and the material being learned. Tests are frequently updated and tailored for each course.

Placement assistance
STMC Training Institute maintains files in reference to local, national and international firms/organizations to assist students in locating employment. Upon graduation, STMC trains students interviewing skills and resume writing.
To maintain satisfactory academic progress, students must meet the following standards:

  • Conform to the rules and regulations of STMC Training Institute.
  • Upon Admission, students are expected to make satisfactory academic progress with maximum allowable time frame toward the completion of their certificate.

Course withdrawals
Students are charged tuition and fees and receive grades for the number of weeks attended. A pattern of course withdrawals could cause a student to exceed the maximum time frame allowed for program completion and therefore fall below the standard for satisfactory academic progress.

Repeated courses
Whenever a course is repeated because of an earlier failure, credits accrue only when the student attains a passing grade in the course repeated. A pattern of course repetitions could cause a student to fall below the minimum standard for satisfactory academic progress. A course may not be repeated more than once without the approval from the Director of Training.

Class schedule
Class schedules are worked out to the best advantage of everyone concerned students and faculty. If there is a problem with your schedule, discuss it with the Director of Education. The typical class size is ten. A class consists of four to six scheduled hours in a class (including lab, lecture, quizzes and examinations). Occasionally, additional class hours may be required for class completion, without additional cost.

Graduation requirements
To be eligible for graduation students must:

  • Successfully complete program objectives.
  • Complete assignments.
  • Show progress
A certificate of completion is presented by STMC Training Institute to students who satisfy the graduation requirements.

Re-Admission
Students who interrupt their education must apply for readmission. All applicants for re-admission must be approved by the Director of Education. Please refer to the concerned links for detailed course and program information, schedules and fees.
